Mary Bonner, a member of the congregation of First Presbyterian Church for many years, bequeathed to the church a generous donation to be used primarily to help the poor. Over the years, First Presbyterian Church has striven for faithful stewardship of this gift, establishing a strategic plan and vision for the Bonner Fund: “Following the example of Jesus, the primary purpose of the Bonner Fund shall be to assist the church in aiding the poor with their material, educational, and spiritual needs long term.”
This vision is accomplished through five programs, each of which receives annual allocations from the Bonner Fund:
