Hays County Food Bank

Our mission is to feed hungry people in Hays County, Texas

Established in 1984, the food bank has been serving Hays County faithfully for more than 30 years. They have four distribution dates each week of their own and also give food to local agencies to distribute to their clients.

There are two ways that FPC works the food bank in order to help the hungry.

  1. We take a monthly collection of food and monetary donations on the 4th Sunday.  There is a grocery basket in the fellowship hall to place all food donations and people may use a pew envelope or write a check to the church with Food Bank in the memo line and all donations will be passed along to the Food Bank. Last year we we able to give over $1100 and 42lbs of food through our monthly giving.
  2. We annually participate in the Turkeys Tackling Hunger program. During the month of November, we ask churchgoers to donate $30 in order to provide one meal for a hungry family during the holiday season. This past year we were able to provide 20 meals to bless people during this season.
